How does MN rank in Taxes?

Do you think are doing well in our tax environment, well being ranked 45th doesn’t sound very good to me…

Time to say thank you for the new taxes

We need to to get and be sure to let our representatives know how happy we are for all the new taxes and burdens they have created.  Time to get out and tell them what you think.

Shoreview City Council to Raise Your Taxes

The Shoreview City Council will consider increasing your taxes through a 2.5% “franchise fee” on your energy bill this Monday, June 4, at 7pm. Please attend to express
1. your opposition to the spending (all optional projects) they’re using to justify this tax increase,
2. your belief they must scrap this idea if citizens, as their employers, oppose it; and
3. your intention to work for their defeat if they ignore your wishes.

Hang on to your wallet!

Better grab your wallet while the legislature is still in session.  Here are some quotes Yarusso’s newsletter ($’s added for emphasis)

“…mo$t importantly, it increa$e$ per pupil funding by $209.  Q – Why “most importantly”?  Because it’s always  best to throw more money at any given problem?”

“…the bill call$ for the large$t inve$tment in our $tate’$ higher education $y$tem in over 10 year$.”

I wonder who is paying for these investments?  The revenue fairy?

Any Questions?

Rep. Barb Yarusso will be holding a Town Hall meeting, this is a good time to get out and press her with some good questions.  Another good reason to show up is that she is holding this meeting at a union headquarters for MAPE so it would be nice to make sure they are not the only ones there. Here are the details from her newsletter.
